I recently purchased the Garmin GPSMAP 66i GPS Handheld and Satellite Communicator (2-Pack) – 010-02088-01 and I’m very pleased with it. The preloaded Garmin TOPO mapping with direct-to-device BirdsEye Satellite Imagery downloads is great and the multiple Global Navigation Satellite Systems (GNSS) support and navigation sensors are very helpful. The cellular connectivity lets you access Active Weather forecasts and Geocaching Live, which is a great feature. The Garmin Explore website and app are also very useful for managing waypoints, routes, activities and collections, using tracks and reviewing trip data from the field. The internal, rechargeable lithium battery provides up to 35 hours of battery life in 10-minute tracking mode and 200 hours in Expedition mode with 30-minute tracking intervals.
